No TV Licence at the Post office?

Did you know that as of 31st July 06 You won't be able to purchase a TV licence at the Post Office :weepy:

I actually paid via the mail last time .. but only as a consequence of having just moved .. I really feel for the older people & rural village areas where the postie is a meeting place for catching up with faces !!

How do you pay ?

Miss Muffet is on a distinguished road
We pay by Direct Debit - but it works out you're paying 6 months behind and 6 months ahead!!! That makes sense!! It really annoys me when the humble post office has another amenity taken away,:gnasher: how many of us have remembered at almost the last minute that the tv license/car tax/something is due and nipped into the post office to sort it out! It won't be long before post offices disappear from our villages for good, probably the high streets too, and the older generations will suffer most! Grrrrrrrrr! :bomb: :talktothe :gnasher: :soapbox:
