stop sign Resources needed
for the SCP stop sign:

  Heavy cardboard circle

  Cardbord tube for the handle

Stop sign printout onto amber or yellow paper

Striped handle printout onto amber or yellow

  glue gun

School crossing patrol officer's stop sign
Stop sign handle tube paper

We wanted a tactile feel to our signs so used a mixture of sand, red paint and PVA glue to coat the cardboard circles. Then attached ripped pieces of red foil and red glitter which reflected the beams of light made by our 'car headlights'  (dynamo powered torches)

Making the stop sign

Cut two large circles of card by tracing the outline of a plate with a pen..
If wanted, mix the sand with the red paint and a quantity of PVA glue.
Apply the mixture over the top of the cardboard cirlcle
Decorate the surface with sprinkled glitter and torn pieces of red reflective foil.

Print the inner stop sign onto amber or yellow paper, cut out and stick to the centre of the red card.
Put aside to dry
Make the handle by printing the striped paper to amber/yellow paper and trim.
Wrap around the tube to form the handle and glue/tape it in place.
Attach the handle to the back of the stop sign using a glue gun.
