Use these printables
as role play props and build an interactive number rhyme resource that
supports your children's sing song, math and numeracy activities. The
number of icecream tubs fail to reduce at each child's purchase so the
rhyme moves to delicious icecreams after the first round of song!
Use the lower serving sheet to hold any number of whippy top icecreams and
offer a waffle cone to the customer as they select a flavour to slot into
their cone. Replenish at the end of 5 to avoid recalling children's bought
icecreams! or increase the number of icecream tops. Print and assemble a
matching number of waffle cones and extend any conversations to sauce and
sprinkles and discover what children's experiences with icecream is,
how these yummy treats are a sugary food and what colour or flavour preferences
every one has.

Make the cones by cutting and folding at the centre line and taping
the open edges together
Ice cream pennies - role play money
Make your own icecream play money using air dry clay and laminated penny centres.
Roll out the clay and cut 2cm diameter circles or roll balls
of clay and flatten.
Cut out the cntre in half, place a laminated coin center on top
and then sandwich with a bottom circle.
Let dry. If wanted paint the coins with acrylic paint.
