Silly squash putty & slippy slime recipe
Make this tactile gooeyness, the washing
laundry gel recipe or fibre slime as part of your supervised halloween
activities.

Ingredients
1 tsp
of borax
dissolved in 20ml warm water
2 tbsp PVA glue - amazon.co.uk dilluted in 200ml water
Food colouring
Equipment:
Jug & small container
Spoons
Vary the quantity of water to make runnier or a firm putty

Make
Mix 2 tablespoons of pva glue with 7fl oz water
Mix the borax with 20ml water
Combine the two stirring continuously until the reaction creates a putty
slime consistency.
To make this a safer activity place the pva mix into a zip lock bag add
then add the borax solution, seal the bag and combine the ingredients
by squishing and squashing the bag.

Play!
After completing the three step
recipe use your putty or slime in shallow trays to cover, hide and add
interest to other items.
Use a brown slime for swampy areas of dinosaur role play
Use blue in water play to see what happens
Roll putty over plates sprinkled with glitter & table confetti
Use green with lids, leap frog resources and different tools
to strain, drip, and shake.

For the more adventurous use an upturned speaker covered with
plastic food wrap and place the slime/putty ontop. Let the music work
its dance magic ...
