Make your own Lavender scented playdough and create
a 3D sensory play zone!
Essential lavender oil should
be avoided by women in their first trimester of pregnancy.
Please feel free to use these slips to invite feedback
on using lavender oil in your setting.
Making scented dough
Resources needed
1 cup of Plain flour
½ cup of Salt
¾ Cup Water
1 tsp Cream of tartar
1 Tablespoon lavender oil - or olive oil if using
lavender scendted moisturising cream.

Food colouring
Hand or other
moisturising cream.

laminate and build up the image with scented dough
buds..

To
make the playdough
Use the same mug / cup to measure
out the flour, salt and water.
Place these in a saucepan along with
the cream of tartar, olive/lavender oil and food colouring
|

Cook the mixture over a medium heat until
it forms a dough and begins to leave the sides of the
saucepan cleanly.
Turn out and allow to cool.
Add a prefered amount of moisturising cream
and knead until smooth.
