Flower pot play dough mats!
Build daisies, daffodils, poinsettias and holly leaf/wreath
circles with paper petals, stamen lid extruders
atop printed and laminated plant pot dough mats. These resource
printables support a tactile way of exploring summer lawns,
seasonal blooms and tradtional foliage through children's gross and
fine motor skills.
Cut
petals and leaves from different materials to vary the colour and texture
of your loose media and to focus the activity, if possible laminate
papers for durability. Use a hole punch tool to adapt plastic milk bottle tops
and push down into sections of dough until it appears and forms a stamen
like appearance. Gather twigs, leaves & drinking straws to snip
and position as flower stems.
Take photographs of children's dough
flower creations and display the images as your own floral allotment.
