A basic handmade, cooked playdough recipe

Use the same measuring container for all ingredients

eg.
1 cup of  plain flour
 ½ same cup of salt
 ¾  of water
 1 tsp cream of tartar to each approx 400gm flour
 1 tablespooon olive oil to each approx 400gm flour

Add all the ingrdients to a pan and cook over a moderate heat.

Stir continuously until the gloopiness begins to come together

At this point stir firmly, turning the dough with the spoon until all sticky looking areas have gone.
Remove from the heat and once cooled a little, turn out onto a board and knead.

Add a few spoonfuls of suitable moisturising cream - sensitive to the dough and squish until thoroughly mixed.
Stor the dough in an airtight container between uses to prevent drying and salt crystalisation.

Free play with your fresh dough and enjoy the opportunities adding collage pieces, rollers, cutters, straws, glitter & wibbly wobbly eyes have!
