CYPOP 1 1.4 Explain the impact of current research into the development and learning of babies and young children
Hi all,
Can anyone point me in the right direction of this, cant find anything which I think will answer the question. CYPOP 1 1.4 Explain the impact of current research into the development and learning of babies and young children. I am doing this qualification under my own steam pretty much, and am struggling a bit at times. Thank You X |
Hi, current research for children/babies learning and development focusses on the brain and what happens to it when children learn.
The Science museum.org.uk has a good section to help. Research helps us to look at the importance of sleep. The Mental health sleep report makes good reading Calm and quiet places Communication & language, rhythm, rhyme and song Healthy nutritious diet Physical exercise Sensory experiences Emotional security - attachment theory, trust & confidence. Hi, welcome to the site. Current research influences the way we think about children's development and the ways in which we 're able to provide for individual learning and development needs.

Research is information belonging to an investigation or a study of a specific interest. What makes it current is that it hasn't been surpassed or superseded by newer information on the same interest or that the investigation/study is continuing to happen now, in the present day. For this unit the area of interest is the brain, its development and children's learning. CYPOP 1 1.4 current reseach focusses on neuroscience and provides evidence that the early experiences children have are vital to healthy brain development. Through their senses children experience sensations that build neuron connections and synapses in the brain that provide foundations for learning. If you have access to a copy page 366 of the cache handbook has supportive reading for this criteria. More excellent reading is the Developing brain publication and learning begins early by the bernard van leer foundation. Other resources are The Learning Brain: Lessons for Education amazon.co.uk People under three - young children in day care amazon.co.uk Early brain development search on google Best wishes |
