developing the environment

help i am really stuck on unit titled develop the environment for children and young people.

1.1 Explain the legislation and regulatory requirements underpinning the environment for children and young people.

2.2 Explain the features of an effective environment for children and young people.
From the 3.1 criteria of cyp3.2 pdf unit on ocr.org.uk
Features of an environment or service may include:
 stimulating and attractive
 well planned and organised
 personalised and inclusive
 encouraging and practising participation
 high quality policies in place and followed
 regulatory requirements met
 varied
 meeting individual and group needs providing appropriate risk and challenge
 involving parents and carers where appropriate to setting or service

2.3 Lead the process of planning the environment for children and young people.
2.4 support others to prepare the environment.
2.5 Organise resources to meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
2.6 Facilitate the development of an environment that promotes positive expectations of children or young people.
2.7 Evaluate the features of own setting against current regulatory reqirements and guidance for safe, secure and inclusive environment.

Really stuck on this any help or examples would be great. thank you.

Hello Joanna

I'm doing some of these questions at the moment, and what i did was look at my policies and procedures at work. also do you have the new eyfs book? the beginning of that is very useful i found and also my code of conduct which has lots of information about requirements and what the workplace expects of me.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi, apologies for jumping in, for England the 2012 framework can be downloaded on this link & page of education.gov.uk

There is an onsite page featuring other links that help implement the framework - 2012 EYFS

The search page will help find threads already on the forum - enter keywords, unit numbers or unit titles to search - eg. Features of an effective environment

Best wishes
