Consultation - Statutory Guidance for Children's Trusts on the Duty to Cooperate

The Department is currently consulting on new Statutory Guidance for Children’s Trusts on inter-agency cooperation to improve the wellbeing of children, young people and their families.This new guidance for Children's Trusts on the duty to cooperate reflects the thrust of the Children’s Plan to develop greater cultural change, so that they better understand and increase their focus on children’s needs, and build stronger local partnerships to deliver measurably improved outcomes.The guidance will also help schools and other key partners and children's service providers to become more active partners within the Children’s Trust. The consultation is running until 26 June 2008.
