Due to the level of cut to our funding Emmanuel House is in danger of having to close. Redundancy notices have been issued to all 12 staff. All volunteers have been notified. Service users (approx 80-90 per day) are noticeably upset and asking 'where can we go now for the help, advice, food and other facilities that Emmanuel House offer?' We cannot , at this time, offer any help in this direction as we do not know which projects will remain open with the level of cuts right across the board. These are vulnerable and marginalised people who in the majority of cases to not have the wherewithall to manage their own affairs.
