Barnsley Hospice has lost 1.5% from the grant provided by the PCT equating to £24, 200 for 2011/12. The hospice has also seen an 11% cut in its voluntary sector grant from the local council equating to just over £2, 480 for 2011/12. There are indications that both of these grants will continue to decrease in the next three years. Although the cuts amount to around 1.6%, in real-terms this is actually around 7.5% due to the grant being frozen and inflation.
