Key Stage 2 test dates

Having taken account of QCA and Ofqual's advice, Key Stage 2 tests will take place, as planned (and published in the 2009 Assessment and Reporting Arrangements), between Monday 10 May and Friday 14 May 2010.The Department will seek to implement the Expert Group’s recommendation on moving the test to mid June in 2011; this will help to strengthen transition arrangements for year 6 pupils, and in conjunction with the continued embedding of the Assessment for Learning strategy, the role of teacher assessment.For further information, call the National Curriculum Tests Helpline 08700 60 60 40 or follow the link below.

I would much rather my son didn't have to sit them...............

but we would like to take him out of school for a big holiday next year and were planning end of May after the SAT's and when they threatened to change them to June, it mucked all our plans up!
