After 3 years talking to county council who wanted to withdraw funding from the 3 REC's in Bucks and redirect to one organisation. We were told in January 2011 we would not get any further funding.However the process for a new organisation to go for tender ended when the LA decided that it was not a viable business tender. In otherwords not enough money in the pot to provide equality services across the county.What they were looking for was an equality service covering all strands for less thatn nearly half of the funding they were giving to race equality.
