That's good news Rosie1 although I have to say that's a little harsh for a Doctor to label a doll with Downs Syndrome !
On a reality level ~ for a genetic disorder to be assumed by looks alone can be very upsetting for parents, diagnoses should be correctly performed .. I know from personal experience how a youngster who appeared to have some physical characteristics of downs and yet proved negative for the genetic disorder, is treated by other adults who have preconcieved ideas!
and surprisingly (or not) some reactions can be quite shockers!!!
Are they intending to make downs dolls ? awareness, acceptance and understanding is brought about by living life with these ideals..so I'm not sure I personally would agree with a doll .. but then I also have a fairly idealistic view of how people should accept others without criticism and labels
Good luck with the TV character casting
