Yes, you have to be working. You've written out your list of modules and for those you'll need to be in early years work fulltime to carry out the theories you will be learning; and to do your observations (often large case studies), action plans etc. Your assignments will be based on your work and the impact your learning is having on your setting. You will need English and Maths GCSE level C or above, but those with 'A' levels find it an easier transition to academic study and writing.
