Every New Year, my Mam would have my brother and I cutting out gift tags from the old Christmas cards
- we used to argue over who would get to use the pinking shears!!
I use old towels, t-shirts etc as dusting/cleaning rags. At least I don't use old y-fronts like my Mam did!!!!!
If an item of clothing is beyond repair/charity donation, I check to see if it's 100% cotton. If it is, it gets washed and I use it in my patchwork.
I have just discovered a good tip: we have been considering buying cable tidies for behind the tv and pc, but just found this - use pipe cleaners. They're cheap, strong and easy to undo!
