A brilliant Easel activity is using real leaves as stencils.
- Collect a selection of leaf sizes & shapes from your local wood or park.
- On the easel have large paintbrushes (aprons!!) & some coloured mixed paint at the ready......
- Let the children paint the surface of the leaves and then press them against the surface of a piece of paper that's already pegged to the easel.
- Peel the leaf off so that it leaves leave an impression behind.
Once the prints are dry - cut them out with straight & serated edged scissors and build your own wall display tree & leaves !!
