Just thought i would update you on Jury Service. Obviously I can't tell you details, but I survived!!!! YAY!!!!:party:
As expected, I actually enjoyed the experience,
I spent the first week sat on my bum getting to know 6 lovely people,
then got called the second week. I spent 4 days in a courtroom listening to a charge of aggravated burglary (!), then spent 3 1/2 hours locked in the deliberating room, only to have a 6/6 split - twice!
The judge wasn't happy with us, dismissed us in disgrace, (with a few choice words!)and went off to decide whether to call a new jury or not!!!
I have spent the last few days feeling guilty for not doing the job I was supposed to (I'm not the only one!) and getting used to 'normal' life again.
Would I do it again? Yes, but not for a couple of years please!
