Risk Assesments

Hi Everyone

I'm new to this forum and just wondered if anyone could help me with Risk assesments. I am due my inspection in April and trying to get all my paperwork together. But i'm having a little difficulty with the risk assesments especially today as i have a child with a cast on her arm and i wondered if i needed to do a specific RA for her.

Thanks for your help

Pixie :)

search the internet for 5 step risk assessment the form is really good and you can use it for any risk also look on the ncma website they may have something.

Hi, I have answered a similar question to this elsewhere tonight!!

You need to think about the things the child might do with the pot (being a bit off centre, knocking things)... think about how you would manage a scenario of the child doing damage to another child / herself... and consider what would happen if the pot came off or was broken (which should be following your emergency procedure).

I had a child with a pot a while ago and he managed just fine.

Hth :cheerful:
