qualitative and quantitative

Hi all!

I am currently doing a individual presentation on using these methods for outdoor play and how the outdoor area is used.
I understand that qualitative research gives you experiences and more personal to the participant information and quantitative gives you numbers and statistics but how would you use both of these methods to implement changes?
Would it be along the lines of the numbers and statistics show the strengths and weaknesses and the qualitative research would provide ideas for improvements?

It seems like a simple question but im so confused :dizzy: any help would be greatly appreciated
