Thats a brilliant idea Air ... there's a set of print outs for larger 'raffle' type treasure hunts from Navigator Narwhals page.

What sort items do you list for the children to collect (we could make up some sheets to put on silkysteps !!) :cheerful: ?

Forgot to mention there's also an outdoor Scavenger Hunt Activity pack available!

But would love to have a list of other items used :cheerful:

Ruth...on our treasure maps we ask the children to find;
a sweet wrapper-we start children off by including a sweet in with their maps!
£1 coin
childs finger print
a leaf
picture of Dora the Explorer!
a photo of child
a pasta twirl
picture of a car
a sequin
a sticker of child's choice
picture of a fruit or vegetable
colour square blue
a feather
picture of Fireman Sam
picture of Postman Pat
the map is a grid with 24 squares, and 15 of these have the the requested treasure items to be hunted...children can either be sponsored per square or overall.....we do this usually as the 1st fund raiser after Christmas...nice and simple and the children love it!...xx

we also ask the local postmaster to datestamp one of the little boxes on our treasure hunt....................he loves doing it and the children love asking him!!

Hi
we did a treasue hunt for the children over the chisrtamas break this year. asked them to find things to stick in 8 boxes on a page of paper (something red, green, gold, blue, black, white, yellow and multicoloured) as we had just finished a theme on colours
we were amazed that we made £190 and no outlay (have own photocopier)
i did print certificates for all those that completed it
one mum even gave a donation as her son refused !! peronal choice and all that!!
