Dressing up boxes ?

What is your role play box's most popular outfit ?

Do you have a large selection of dressing up clothes or make up what's needed as you go along ?

Princess dresses are the most popular, the girls look for them as soon as they come in in the morning. We do have one little boy who also likes to wear them. Form the boys its mainly police tabards, with coat hangers for guns. This is always a tricky one, i have always tried to discourage guns, but when i talk to the children they assure me they won't hurt anyone as they are not real they are only coat hangers. Now i tend to let them play it out for a while then try distraction by introducing another activity.

the princess dresses, a snow white one at the moment, is popular witht the girls. we have a red flamenco dress that is really popular witht he boys and a sully costume and a spiderman one that the same 2 children wear all the time. we have to wash them weekely just to have a change!!

Bridesmaid / Princess dresses for all..
2 boys were fighting over the yellow frilly one last week.

least used... the ethnic ones... (kimono, really pretty - sari, kaftan) never seen any of them on a child in several years!!

Most of ours are old clothes instead of costumes. Kids particularly like shawls they 'become' a variety of characters such as witches, mums and so on.

The favourite here is a red dragon costume, closely followed by Buzz Lightyear.

I have all boys on my books at the minute so the bautiful dresses dont get a look in :weepy:
