Playdough varieties
If you're fed up with ordinary playdough, here is an alternative that you could try !!
Oatmeal & Custard A can of ready cooked custard Rolled oats! :star: Mix the two together to form a mouldable dough. :star: Edible, this dough is fantastic to use with the younger ones who may still be at the mouthing stage ! :star: Use flour or icing sugar as a table covering as the dough can be sticky. This Link to our 'Senses' forum, will also give some ideas for 'Smelly Playdough' !! |
Dryer Lint Dough
Go with it....:sarcastic
Rip 3 cups of lint into small pieces, put in a saucepan and cover with about 2 cups of water. Carefully stir in 1 cup of flour (s/r or plain). Add a few drops of vegetable oil then stir constantly, over a low heat, until the mix is smooth and sticks together. Pour onto greaseproof paper and allow to cool. Use to make models, cover shapes, or pack into small moulds. Allow to dry fully, which can take up to a week, depending how big you make your 'thing'. Then you can paint it! I didn't say it would be 'normal'! :D |
LOL .. different I'll give you that :D .. but I guess not far from whatever fibres seem to be in the airdrying Clay !!

sounds fun
just had a thought we have a coeliac child starting soon! do we need gluten free playdough???:)) |
Just a word of warning.....dryer lint is HIGHLY FLAMMABLE in it's 'natural' fibrous form, so don't be tempted to use it to stuff toys and the like! It does make an excellent firelighter when stuffed into a loo roll tube and tossed on the fire with the other kindling!

1 cup powdered milk 1 cup honey 1 cup oatmeal Mix together then mould a little, Munch a little! |
