STL level 3 supporting children'spositive behaviour?
hi i have not wrote anything on here since i joined but can any body help me please
i am currently doing a level 3 support teaching and learning in schools and i am struggling to answer unit 304 outcome 2 2.1 - explain the benefits of actively promoting positive aspects of behaviour. 4.3 - assess and manage risks to own and others' safety when dealing with challenging behaviour. 4.5 - recognise and take immediate action to deal with and bullying, harassment or oppressive behaviour according to the policies and procedures of the setting. |
Hi welcome to the site. Page 57 of the STL handbook looks at these criteria.
TDA 3.4 you can research the benefits on page 61 and how recognising positive behaviour is important for all children, especially those who tend to be reprimanded more than others. Quote: 'Even as adults we like to be noticed for something good that we've done' Research has shown that we need to be given six positives for one negative in order to balance this out. B.F.Skinner's behaviourist theory, positive reinforcement and operant conditioning suggests that children will respond to praise and so will repeat the behaviour that gives them the recognition or praise. Dealing with bullying behaviour, if you use the look inside feature on amazon.co.uk and search using the word bullying and click the link to page 68. You can also use your setting's policy and procedure to help you understand what's expected of you in these situation. Hope this helps a little xx |
