oats
today we had porridge oats in the tough spot and my and a colleague added some water (just for the mess really!!) and it made a playdough consistency. kids loved it and were playing with the rolling pins etc making things,
had to through it out as would go mouldy but was a good alternative! we think we added slightly warm ater but not sure, also the room smelt lovely all morninig |
:cheerful: sounds like you all had a fab time !!
I like oats (and flapjack :D lol ) as they're sooo cheap. Did you need to use flour once the dough had formed, to stop it sticking to the bottom of the tray ? |
not really, we used 3 bags of tesco value oats and about half a washing up bowl of water
was really just trying to make a huge mess with the children as was friday!! and we had them about but it turned out that the oats made a dough that was less and less sticky the more they played with it. they we all a little covered though, but hey its playschool we make a mess! we did think during it of adding some glitter but didnt - will do next time |
We once put frozen peas in our tuff spot, the children loved it! seeing your post has reminded me to do it again.
