Changes to the way Ofsted processes DBS (formerly CRB) checks
 

From Monday 1 July 2013 the process for getting a DBS certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service – up until November 2012 these were called Criminal Records Bureau checks) through Ofsted has changed.
If you're applying to register with Ofsted as an early years, childcare or social care provider, or as a registered manager of a children's social care establishment or agency, you will notice these three changes.
