2.3 Children learn how to assess risk themselves.
Children may have to use their own judgement when playing on different surfaces, for example they may have to jump over a hole.
Aids in developing Motor skills.

4.1 The evidence for the benefits of physical activity for children’s physical health is clear and well-understood. For example, there is strong evidence that physical activity builds strong bones and strengthens muscles, maintains flexibility, maintains and achieves a healthy weight, promotes good posture and balance, improves fitness, strengthens the heart and enhances healthy growth and development.

Just a few ideas, hope it helps a little.

Hi
Afew pointers
2.3
  • large area to combine fine and gross motor skills
  • children can make a mess plaing with the leaves etc
  • Leaves falling from trees, hop skip jump hide shout to explore natural environment etc
  • Usually child inititiated activities maybe help to support den making etc
  • Children must take risks to help them gain more knowledge and to help them explore things, without risks children will not move on so this will hinder the child’s potential
  • metabolic rates increase during physical acticities outside means that the child will digest food easier. Increase in what they eat better growth spurt
  • natural direst sun light source of vitamin D stronger bones
  • natural environment helps practitioners/parents have a better bond with child
  • Outdoor play is crucial to help and support developmental milestones that a child achieves such as exploring, risk taking, motor and sensory development.

If you need any more just ask

Hi, welcome to the site. There is already some useful information on this thread :)

Your level 3 handbook for CYPOP4 will help as will the government's guidance the UK physical exercise leaflets which contain good reading.

Best wishes
