Excellent rhyming story about Gerald the Giraffe Perfect for an All about me theme and a lesson in the things we can achieve once we find the 'path meant for us :cheerful:

we love this book, also the children do to!!

I love this book. I used it for my NVQ 3 to get the children to talk about how they thought Gerald felt when the other animals were laughing at him and getting them to relate it to their play with other children and how things make them feel, and how they could make people feel happy instead of sad. We then had a musical movement session where I got the children to dance to the music as monkeys, giraffes, elephants etc. The children really enjoyed it. My assessor was impressed too!!!
