UCAS points for EYFD?
Hi there
It's my first time on here, what a wonderful site with so much information, ideas, etc and such a warm, friendly community. I completed my NVQ back in 2008 and now have the opportunity to study for the Early Years Foundation Degree, subject to gaining funding, then a place on the course. I was wondering if anyone knows if the level 4 is worth any UCAS points, therefore exempting some of the Degree syllabus. I know the OU give 120 points for it but really didn't want to go down that route, I prefer to work alongside others rather than on my own. Information from the local college/partner university is very sketchy and tutors are very difficult to get hold of. I would be very grateful for any info anyone can give me, or experiences they have had Many thanks |
no it is worthless in ucas terms though some unis consider it a demonstration of learning and development it is informal acknowledgement. mainly as it has no academic content like all NVQs. We interview based on 2 years post 3 experience and current employment.
