Spam Bots ~ not real people !!
 

I have only just found out that the recent bout of spammers on these and other boards could be down to 'Spam Bots' ~ not real people at all :weepy:

So to try and combat this I have enabled the 'Double Opt in' feature for new registrations.. basically this means that new members will have to click a verification link in an email sent to their email address before they can begin posting on the forum.

Another feature I am looking into is CAPTCHA - the image verification system that asks you to type numbers and letters into a box!

Fingers crossed this will trip the darn things up ..... :muted:
