starting the foundation degree

hi, I am due to start the foundation degree in september after putting it on hold since last september due to family problems...........I was really looking forward to starting it after the last 14 years of hell..........was feeling confident, excited, energetic, on top of this world, nothing was going to knock me down again...............................then last night had my family telling me what a worthless piece of s... I was, fancying trying to better myself when im the scum of the earth etc.......i ignored it at 1st but after 6 hours of continuesly being told how useless as a person, mother, daughter, wife etc I was I now am not sure if the degree is right for me...............am I kidding myself that I can do it?am I that person my family described?.....my work colleagues dont think so, and nor does my partner but im having trouble lifting my chin out of the gutter today. ive spent most of the day in tearsand dont know what to do.....................

I reckon the best thing you can do is prove them wrong...and then stick 2 fingers up at them!:talktothe

Don't let anyone put you down. If you know you can do it, your colleagues know you can and your partner is supportive, then ignore the others.

Some people don't want you to better yourself - as they are jealous that they haven't bettered themselves. Don't let them keep you in the gutter.

I'm sending you some love:With love:, some chocolate Love Chocolate and a big group hug :grouphug: to cheer you up!

Stand up, shake yourself down and get started - go on, Farleys!!

and I'm ditto with Jane :With love: you'd of expected this from them so do ignore it, we'll all be here to get you through hugs xx

Have you an induction day for the college/fd?

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

You have the support of your partner - which is the most important thing.
The fact you have secured a place shows you are competent [s?]

Go for and make them eat their words.
