HandyKam ~ we are pleased to announce a new afilliation account has been set up with this very friendly Cornish company based in Hayle. Checkout their site for CCTV webcams that can help support your conservation, Lifecycles, Animals and Ornathological interests .. Winter Expressions activity pack from Omni Orangutan. Our 2006 Christmas Advent Calendar To make way for new resources to be offered this coming December some of the 2006 advent have been moved to various locations around Silkysteps. Others will make a repeat performance for 2007 - some have gone into the 'Products pipeline for development and will hopefully be on sale in the near future.

Our Newsletter We are very pleased with the number of subscribers we have to the 'now monthly edition. With a slightly different look for 2007 it now features a new WAH - Work At Home business interview per month ~ opening up the doors to the hard work these people put into building and maintaining a service that they are very passionate about. On the Technical side
Special thanks to Open Minded Solutions ltd again, for their patience and ongoing help in developing Silkysteps on the Mysquirrel & cfm coding backend etc. stuff ;-) lol
Visitor numbers are now reaching an incredible average of 1800 uniques/individuals per day .. from all over the world .... amazing :-)
Since Silkysteps' launch on 31st January 2006 we have had a few tweaks along the way .. for anyone interested in the 'techy news this is what we have added on ...
Back in July 06 we had a rotating Ad banner installed - these are the adverts you see at the bottom of the main blue lefthand navigation bar. October brought a renewal for a further 12mths support and security upgrades for the Forum software ~ Vbulletin In November 06 we commissioned a CAPTCHA system to be installed on the links directory ~ this was due to the sudden and huge number of spam submissions we recieved .. thankfully this addition stopped the spam in it's tracks. We upgraded the CMS (Content Management System) in December 06 so that category specific articles could be selected and viewed ~ Brilliant for ease of admin!!
So all in all it's been a fantastic year ~ many personal learning curves & the prospect of many more .. I'll look forward to what happens throughout 2007 :-D .....
