Default HSC 3045 Unit 115 Promote positive behaviour

Evening all

Last unit...good times
This unit....bad times!!

Doing unit 115 and Im starting to go slightly mad! Ive completed outcome 1 so far, but have the next 5 to do, and I need to have it handed in on Monday. Any helps, tips, advice for outcomes 2-6 would be greatly received.
Got a feeling its gonna be a long weekend.
Thank you all in advance x

Hi, 115 is also CYPOP 41 or HSC 3045 if you use search xx

For outcome 2. proactive strategies are about planning and reactive strategies deals with incidents once they've occurred or during an occurrance. This example Behaviour Support Plan from suffolk.gov shows how, before, is planning that puts actions in place that aims to mitigate any possibly challenging behaviour and after shows how an incident is to be handled/managed ..

3 to 6 are observed so maybe for background research or notes you could look at the setting's experience of behaviour support plans, what your policies and procedures are and being familiar with the SEN code of practice.

Useful sites:
The challenging behaviour website
Hands on scotland - accidents helps with the complex feelings witnessing trauma can have and helps to see how children may experience a range of emotions as a witness to causes of concern and which questions trust.
Shock on the BBC is also useful for knowing the possible extremities of being involved with incidents.
Behaviour for children with Downs Syndrome - there are links to behaviour for age groups.
Challenging behaviour and cerebal palsy on scope and on scie for supporting young people, avoidance behaviour that manifests into challenging behaviour can be managed by asking why.

The behaviour management plan of Cambridge universities' holiday playscheme is also a good read.

Best wishes, please add on with any info find useful xx
