Newbie - needing 3.7 advice please before I go mad!

Hello,
I'm new to this site but already have seen that I am going to be a frequent visitor. I've been doing the Level 3 CYPW diploma for 2 months now. Thought I was doing ok until I came across 3.7!!!

i am really struggling with.....

• compare, giving examples, ways in which services for children, young people and their carers take account of and promote equality, diversity and inclusion to promote positive outcomes.

If anyone could give me any advice I would really be grateful. x

Hi

For this qyestion i went through our admissions policy to show how we promote equality, diversity and inclusion, i answered the procedures on how the children get a place at our setting if that makes sense, here is a couple of examples to get you started:

• We advertise our service. In the past we have done this via a leaflet drop within the local community
• We provide information in as many languages as possible. We recently got funding forms for a parent in an additional language. The children also get a treasure basket which is a gift of books, we were able to get the treasure basket with a book in the child’s home language.
• We base our admissions policy on a fair system. When a parent is asking to be put on the waiting list, we right in the date that the parent has registered so this enables the children at the top of the list to get a place first when the child is at the right age to start.
• We do not discriminate against any family, or prevent entry to our setting we follow all guidance from the Equalities Act 2010. We do not under any circumstances prevent any entries into our setting we follow strict admissions policy on a fair system. At our setting we have a child with additional needs and we have children with English as an additional language. We also have parents of the same ***.

I added alot more then these but hope it gives you an idea

Lynne
