not sure if on the right tracks but i would say the importance of early intervention and recognition of any learning difficulty is important so a child does not feel inadequate and suffer a loss of self esteem and confidence which will be more damaging than the initial problem potentially as can affect their whole school life, thats why observation is so important so that any areas of concern are bought to attention dealt with and correct support identified whether outside professional or not for learnign difficulties such as ADHD or Dyslexia, not sure if thats any help!

The importance of early recognition is to ensure that any developmental delays are noticed early and resolved. In doing means that a child is less likely to have delays or futher delays in their development as they grow. It also means that children can get the support needed, whether this be a change in the curriculum that the setting is providing or outside proffesional support such as speach and language therapist. This means there will be less impact on their holistic development and that practitioners can plan accordingly to meet each childs individual needs. Also remember to mention that parents should be consulted before any outside professional help is sought.

Hope this helps x
