Evening all.

I am really stuck on the optional unit supporting numeracy development.

I need to "Discuss the national policies that cover this development"

I literally have no idea what i'm doing right now.. feel like i've hit a brick wall.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Hi, pages 219+ of the STL handbook will help with this unit. Your local authority's website may also contain information relating to their local own policies and national, and your setting will also have a policy for numeracy that relates to the age and ability of the children.

You should also check with your tutor to see if there are any specific policies you're meant to be researching xx

Search inside the handbook for 'frameworks for mathematics' and click to to page 220.

The national policy is to have a curriculum in place that educational settings use to implement their own policy for each subject area https://www.gov.uk/government/public...ammes-of-study

Hth xx
