Smile Which optional units is everyone doing for the diploma

Hey everyone,

I am looking at the optional units for my diploma and was just wandering what units that everyone else is taking?

Hi Starry Eyed, the best advice I can give is to chose areas you have knowledge and experience in and areas that are of interest to you. not only will you find it easier to answer the questions you will also be developing your learning for future progression.
I was unlucky in that my 'optional' units where chosen for me and this made it harder.

Hi Starry_Eyed
I would agree with Mrs Noah on what she has recommended, i was lucky enough to be able to chose my optional units and i linked this in with my SENCO position at work and it is also of interest to me and i allready had attended courses that had helped me.

Thanks for the reply

I think I am going to choose the special needs units, because I work with special needs children within a resource so all the demonstrate should be easy to show and my knowledge of special needs is rather good so i should find them easy!

Thank you for your advice, i really appreciate it

Hi

i completed these units and as i say i am the SENCO within my setting cypop 6 Disability, cypop 15 communication, cypop 16 SENCO i then had to choose another optional unit because i didn't have enough credits and for that one i chose cypop 4 physical. These were hard units but if you have enough knowledge then they become easier and again will be used within your job.
