Hi mrs_yaz

I remember doing this one not that long ago!!

I can remember saying about the children's learning journeys (profiles) that are created and each term they are shared with parents- parents evening to discuss and read the recordings and together talk about children's progress and what the setting and paretns can provide to bring children forward to the next steps within their development.

In my old setting we used to write end of term reports on each of our key children which where then sent home for the parents to read, sign and then bring back to put in their profiles. also children's profiles were available available for parents to take home and share with family members and also for them to write their own observations- so the key worker and other members of staff could get a picture of what the child was like within different enviornments.

Hope this has helped you abit!

Chelsey
