Hi, hang in there :)

How about ..

S - Having identified the need, find out where the course is being offered and sign up ..
M - Level/qualification you gain & expected attendance.
A - is it? have you enrolled on a course that you've been told is suitable and appropriate for your needs/purpose, do you have the time and physical resources available to comit to what's involved.
R yes - you are capable & have support:) - funding has the potential to break this ..
T yes & possibly - what is the duration of the course and does the qualification have an expiry date attached.

xx

I chose children's behaviour as my area of development. Why? to learn more and understand better children's behaviour and how to deal with it effectively and positively. I said that I would look for avaliable courses in the area and observe and learn from more experienced members of staff. I would discuss with the manager the dates, when I would be expected to complete the course.

Some suggestions :
You can use page 15 in this guide.
dera.ioe.ac.uk/7642/1/Improving Own Learning and Performance.pdf
and the national occupational standards (NOS) for supporting teaching and learning in schools (STL)
