Hi,

discuss the support available within your organisation
( primary schools )
can you use your reporting lines? ie. who you talk to about risks and ensuring the classrooms inside and outside are safe? - teacher, coordinator, Head, caretaker?
Do you refer to the school's policies and procedures for heath and safety or your job description eg. what is you role in the setting and do any responsibilities and duties involve identifying risk, mitigating/removing or minimising that risk and checking to make sure areas are safe?

discuss the research you could do independently
could you check on websites for specific information? read newspapers, professional magazines, follow up on colleagues research recommendations, look at the literature the school has on health and safety, see what training opportunities exist?

discuss the role of HSE - about the HSE RIDDOR and COSHH

Hth xx

Hi Ruthierhyme,

thank you so much for this guidance. It has helped me a lot and started my thinking about the different ways and how to answer this question.

Thanks again :jump:
