Default Being observed on Tuesday. SO nervous

On Tuesday my assessor is coming in for the day. She's going to observe me doing a healthy eating activity & physical development activity with the children.
I've got both lessons planned. I just suffer awfully with nerves when i'm being observed. My mouth goes so dry i can hardly speak & my mind goes blank

Are these 2 observations a case of passing or failing ? Like if i don't do well enough with the healthy eating activity i fail ?

Will i ever get used to speaking into that voice recorder & being observed ?!!

If your tutor is good s/he will ask you leading questions to help fill any gaps in the activities you have planned, especially if the children don't want to engage and s/he sees you struggling.

Don't worry about it! It's not as bad as Ofsted :rotfl:

i dont think so Sarah! times have changed! assessors aren't allowed to prompt or lead they ask a question delivered using the assessment criteria verbs and if the learners doesn't understand or cant answer them then they are required to mark as not competent yet and leave it for next time.

the whole point of the new courses is to raise the bar not carry people over it. unless of course Willa is doing the old NVQ thn not only can the assessor lead coax encourage but prob answer the question for her!

Willa just be=ahve ligke tyou rnromally do, talk all the time to your peers and the children and if you dont meet a criteria then she will cover it next time.
dont panic!
