General question creative and physical activity any ideas?

hi all ive finished my level 2 and started level 3 diploma, i need to do a creative and physical activity with our preschool children, i currently work with baby's and cant think of any good ideas. i have ideas for them seperatley but only one idea for joint activity, i thought of doing outside animal charades. having animal cards and in turn the child chooses a card and without telling others moves like the animal and gets the otehr children to guess what animal he is not sure if thats good enough or any one has any other ideas please. thank you

That's a great idea, extends nicely to using a bag of small world figures as an alternative method of selection. Guessing games rely quite heavily on the strength of children's self confidence/esteem to suceed which fits well for assessing who might need support if choosing to take part. To help plan are you looking for an activity that focusses on fine motor or gross motor skills? can you use indoors, outdoors or both. Are there any existing resources in the setting you can use?

Bubble games are great for indoors or out - pots and wands. Paint/soap & water mix with drinking straws for blowing into the solution - take prints of the blown bubbles with paper if messy play is a consideration.
Themed play dough activities.
Theading activities that invent.
Connective activities that build - marble runs, interlocking bricks, cogs ..
What's the time Mr Wolf
Catch the sock, guess what's inside ..

Hope this helps a little xx

why don't you get the children to make a mask or use a print out for an outline get them to decorate it and then act out the roles of the animals they have made
