support childrens confidence and self-esteem K2D99...How to word it

The question is, how to support childrens confidence and self-esteem when they make and create things, making sure that the emphisis is on the process of creating something rather than the end product.

My problem is i dont know how to word the answer, i know we support children by telling them how proud we are of things they have done, telling them how well we thought they did that task etc:

Im not really sure how to word it so it sounds like i know what im talking about, could also do with some ideas on why we emphisise the process more that the finished product. Any ideas greatly recieved, thankyou.
