All of the early years frameworks now focus on the needs of individual children. This is important as we know children develop at different rates. They are all unique and will come from a range of backgrounds. This means that chidren will have different needs and interests so will require a range of different opportunitied in order to thrive. It is also wirth noting that children are starting to spend longer periods away from their parents as a result of socio-economic changes and so extra care is required to support children's emotional well-being.

The EYFS stresses the importance of personalisation of learning and developmental experiences.
