Hello,

Just throught you might like to put some of these ideas into your answers for both K30236/237.

Inequalities: People who live in good areas can earn a good living, giving the chance to choose where they live, how they live and more choice of child provision where as people who do not earn a high wage are forced by limited choices where they live, how they live and choices of child provision. The different social groups lead to discrimination and all too often groups of children form gangs. Lower earning related status usually means that parents may suffer from noisy neighbours (flats and terraces etc) , nightworkers woken during the day, poor parking and travel facilities, more crime, busy and poluted roads, and less personal space. This all means they do not have the access to the same provision of care, the opportunities to improve their life and not given the same opportunites as peole who come from a wealthier background. These form negative effects on children, causing them to have lower self esteem, poor acheivement levels, not try to better themselves. Behaviour deteriates affecting their opportunites to succeed in the same way as children of the same setting, ability and age. If children do not experience inequality, they willl be affected by not seeing those being treated unegually as worth less thanthemselves. They in turn will trat children differently, role modelling on the adults around them- leading to discrimative views and actions.
