Default Describe factors that may lead to the identification of a support need

Hi!

This is my first post here and my second unit, I'm just hoping for a bit of guidance with this question;

Describe the factors that may lead to the identification of a support need in reference to:
1)family structure
2)personal, social and emotional development
3)physical development
4)socio-economic status
5)health and wellbeing

Any pointers on how I should be answering this would be fab!
Thank you!

Hi, welcome to the site. If you include the unit title it will help focus a reply xx

What research recommendations has your course proovider given?

Page 150 of Unit 2 and supporting parents might be a useful read - work based handbook on amazon.co.uk

eg.
1)family structure relationships, wider family, breakdowns, bereavement
2)personal, social and emotional development expected stage of development, offending or anti social behaviour, opportunities to socialise, first language
3)physical development
delay, disability,
4)socio-economic status level of education, occupation, poverty, redundancy,
5)health and wellbeing diet & nutrition, illness, depression, addiction, mental illness

Identifying needs - CAF common assessment framework on on Leicester's children'sworkforcematters.org.uk is good reading

Hth, best wishes with your study

Thank you for your response! That's pretty much what I had covered in my answer so that's a relief!
Unfortunately I haven't been given any research recommendations, so I've been using the penny tassoni book, googling and scanning these forums for ideas!

Hi, I'm also stuck on this question. Does this literally mean explain how the practitioner will help support the family? or am I wrong?

you basically have to describe the factors for example:
famliy structure - parents splitting up could result in the child regressingbac to wetting themselves, being more emotional, withdrawing themselves, being more agressive etc.

hope that helped
