Default Help EYMP1 questions.

Hi,

I need some help with the following questions :

What legal status does YOUR Early Years Framework have?
How do you use the national and any local guidance in your setting?

Thanks in advance

Ok, this is asking what early years framework you are using in your setting. Is it the EYFS? Montessori?
Some parts of the EYFS are mandatory - you MUST comply with them. Some parts are non-statutory, but if you don't use them, you must be able to show what framework you use instead and that it is compliant with guidelines laid down in the EYFS.
So, how do you use the statutory parts in your setting? Are there any local (to your County) guidelines on top of these regulations? For example, some Counties have regulations about how many hours training you are meant to have each year. Some say you must have free flow indoors and outdoors, whilst others say that its up to each setting.
Does that help at all?
