Hi Laura

Like wendy said just be yourself and try to forget about being assessed, I know it is easier said than done but you do forget that you are being assessed and will be come easier next time.

Good luck

Lynne

Hi Laura, i was observed few weeks ago from my head and i got outstanding. Be yourself, do what you normally do. Get the lesson plan and highlight with a highlighter the activity you are carrying out with the children, including the objective of the lesson and give a copy to your accessor. Make sure you are well prepared including enough chairs for children to sit on, resources and any visual prompts. Keep calm and give every child your attention and use appropriate language to their age and ability. Dont just stay sat on a chair go round the table making sure that the objective of the lesson is met! Have lots of interaction with the children, discussion and open questions. Make sure you explain to the children what their activity is and clear instructions when they first sit down. Make sure you know where the children are at meaning their ability. Good luck im sure you will be fine. Hope this helps!
