Default core 3.1 task 3.3 Explain how disability may affect development

Please could anyone give me any pointers as to where to start with the following task.

CYP 3.1: Understand child and young person development.
Outcome 3. Understand how to monitor children and young people’s development and interventions that should take place if this is not following the expected pattern:

3.3. Explain how disability may affect development.

Am i right in thinking that i should state some of the disabilities that people have and then go on to say how their development may be affected due to this and in what way.

Many thanks

Kerrie
